Celebrating One Year

Oct 7, 2013   //   by brodybearden   //   Blog, Photography  //  Comments Off on Celebrating One Year

Leeland turned ONE last month.  It has been a whirlwind of a year and quite frankly, it’s hard to believe it’s been that long already.

Having a one year old, I learned of this whole new world that I had never experienced called, “Planning a kids birthday party.”  I’ve heard rumors of it, even seen pictures of it, but had never really experienced it…especially for a one year old.

However, thankfully, my wife took the reigns and planned an incredible party for Leeland.  Much to my pleasure, it was all Braves and baseball themed…(side note: hopefully this post will help the Braves pull it out in the playoffs and be World Series bound).

Here are a few shots of the incredible decorations that adorned our home.

Maisie Sanders made and decorated both his smash cake and cupcakes for the day…all baseball/all Braves/ all the time.

We also came across a lot of Braves things to use (napkins, plates, balloons, etc.)

I loved these baseballs hanging in the kitchen.

No baseball party would be complete without the peanuts, cracker jacks, and sunflower seeds.

The way we wanted people to share that they were there, similar to a guestbook, we had everyone sign a baseball for Leeland.

(I’m sure she’d love your support too!)

This picture can’t even begin to put into words how excited he was when everyone was standing around and singing to him.

The cake, he was still trying to figure out.  He wasn’t sure how to eat it without getting too messy.

One of the other things we set up was a big print of Turner Field for everyone to stand in front of and get their picture taken like they were at the ballpark.

And last but not least, the party planner herself (@trishabearden) and her favorite son niece.

Ben and Abbie were married in May at The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farm in Cleveland, GA. With scenic views for miles and and the overwhelming peacefulness of being in the North Georgia Mountains, this wedding was bound to be an exciting time with the energetic bridal party, rain or shine. And rain it did, right before the outdoor ceremony…but only enough to make this an even MORE memorable occasion to celebrate a beautiful bride and dapper groom as they shared their vows with family and friends.

Congratulations Ben and Abbie…we wish you the very best!

Edward and Heather were married in Birmingham, AL on May 11, 2013 at St. Paul’s Cathedral. With only a few scattered showers throughout the day, we were able to capture some great footage on the grounds at the church and some scenic views of Birmingham from a local bridge, not to mention the beautiful cobble stone street below.

The entire day, from getting ready to the ceremony to the celebration at the reception was an absolute joy to be a part of and we wish this couple the very best in their new life together.

I’m a big believer in family…as a result, I love my family. We can go from laughing hysterically, to red-faced mad, back to laughing in no time at all. There is never a dull moment with us, hence the photo sequence you’ll see here below.

Hair Cut Time Lapse

Feb 1, 2013   //   by brodybearden   //   Blog  //  Comments Off on Hair Cut Time Lapse

Ever since college, I’ve took it upon myself to find someone to cut my hair for free. What started off as me just being cheap has turned into a sense of pride in not having to pay for a hair cut for X number of years. My wife, Trisha, has graciously taken these responsibilities upon herself and has done an exceedingly wonderful job with it ever since she took the reigns.

I hadn’t cut my hair since before Leeland was born in September (more updates on him later) so I was long overdue.

Today we decided I decided to set up my camera and do a time lapse of a typical hair cut for me. The only difference is that usually Trisha makes me go outside for it so my hair doesn’t get everywhere. Today worked in my favor, though, because it was windy and cold outside…and Trisha wasn’t having any of that…especially my trimmed hair blowing all over her in the gusts of wind.

So here it is…my hair cut time lapse.

Jesse + Rachel Highlight

Nov 22, 2012   //   by brodybearden   //   Blog  //  Comments Off on Jesse + Rachel Highlight

Jesse and Rachel have such a sweet relationship together and it was evident throughout our time with them on their wedding day. Just watch the smile that comes across his face when those church doors open and he sees his bride for the very first time in her extravagant wedding dress.

They were wed at Eagles Landing Baptist Church on July 28th, 2012 with a reception that followed at Eagles Landing Country Club. With a wedding dress fit for a magnificent ball, a cake that looked like it was straight out of a wedding magazine, and a groom completely in love with his bride, this day shaped up to be absolutely perfect for these two newlyweds.

Jesse and Rachel, we loved getting to know you and we wish you the very best in the years to come in your new life together!

Aaron + Lindsey Highlight

Aaron and Lindsey were married at “The Farm” in Bishop, GA. The weather could not have been more perfect…all day there was a breeze and the setting sun served as a perfect backdrop for lifetime vows. As we followed Aaron and Lindsey around throughout the day, we were quick to realize just how pertinent it was that we were using microphones, because they kept us laughing the entire time…through the first look, on the ATV ride, and throughout the evening…and we haven’t stopped laughing throughout the editing process.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful display of Christ’s love for the church and you would have been pretty hard-pressed to find a dry eye as they read their vows to each other. You could really tell that each part of the service was specially crafted to preach the gospel.

The reception that followed was indeed a celebration as it seemed that the people there were growing exponentially. Delicious Bar-B-Q and music ensued as the night drew on and the dance floor remained packed to the rim.

After all was said and done, we LOVED being a part of your day, Aaron and Lindsey, and we’re excited for all of the amazing things in store for your life ahead!

John and Jamie were married on May 5th at the Georgia Club just outside of Athens, GA. The weather was perfect, the venue was incredible, and the bride was stunning. The bridesmaids spent the day relaxing and preparing for the evenings’ event while the groomsmen got in an early round of golf there at the Georgia Club.

The ceremony was just outside of the club house in the wedding gardens and the reception followed just up the steps in the grand ballroom where The Highballs were ready to entertain and get the party going. The whole day was majestically planned, from the bridesmaids’ matching robes in the morning all the way to the sparkler-filled exit on the golf cart at night.

Congratulations John and Jamie. We wish you the very best in your new life together!

Brad + Cat [Maternity Pictures]

Brad and Cat are some of our close friends in Athens.  One of the best parts of our pregnancy has been experiencing some of the same things since they got pregnant around the same time we did.  Their son, Fisher, was born yesterday, so I thought it’s now or never to share some of the maternity pictures that we got to take with them back at the beginning of the summer.  Excited for the two three of you and can’t wait for Leeland and Fisher to be best friends.

Troy + Morgan

Aug 11, 2012   //   by brodybearden   //   Blog  //  Comments Off on Troy + Morgan

We had a chance to spend a few hours with Troy and Morgan at there wedding ceremony back in April at the beautiful Carl House in Auburn, GA. It was our first time shooting there, and let me just say that it is an incredible venue. The gardens were phenomenal and completely set the stage for Morgan and Troy’s outdoor wedding.

We were only asked to film the actual ceremony, but the creative juices started flowing and we just couldn’t help ourselves when we saw Troy and Morgan about to see each other for the first time. I love First Looks.

My favorite part of the ceremony, as evidenced by the video below, was towards the end where the minister tells the groom that he may kiss his bride. Troy was so excited he practically couldn’t wait for the minister’s “ok” and jumped the gun a little early. It was great!

We wish Troy and Morgan the very best on their new life together!
